Sanctuary

The pulpit - the usually elevated place for the sermon - in the Frauenkirche is arranged in the middle, unlike in many churches. It protrudes into the nave like the bow of a ship. The rows of seats and galleries surround them so that everyone who listens is focused on this central place where the word is proclaimed.
